Josh has over 25 years of experience in senior roles in corporate development, strategy, business development, finance, operations and sales with multinational corporations and high-growth startups. Possessing broad international experience, including assignments in Europe and Asia Pacific, Josh has worked for companies such as Autodesk, Synopsys, Bright Machines, and Visa.

He has led teams through more than 75 completed transactions worldwide since 2007, initiated and operated a $100M corporate venture fund at Autodesk, and co-founded the Visa Garage, a global corporate incubator focused on launching the next multibillion dollar businesses at Visa. Josh currently operates Onward Advisors and is focused on providing strategy and transaction advisory to high growth companies.

Passionate about the startup ecosystem, Josh has been coaching founders for nearly 15 years in matters relating to corp strategy, GTM strategy and execution of partnerships, capital raises, and sell-side M&A. He has served on startup boards, is an investor, and is a startup coach with Alchemist Accelerator and Berkeley Skydeck. 

Josh holds a Bachelor's in Finance and Marketing from the University of Oregon and an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. An active father of two, Josh enjoys cycling, skiing, photography, reading, gardening, cooking, and world travel.
